Landscape Ecology Lab at IALE-North America 2026

Join the members of the Jones Center Landscape Ecology Lab as we present our latest research at the 40th Annual IALE-North America Meeting, taking place from April 26 to 30, 2026, in Athens, Georgia!

Our lab will deliver six presentations and workshop with the overarching theme of applying technology to vexing conservation problems. This year, we will focus on hurricane ecology, landscape scale restoration, and sustainable management of longleaf pine. Our team will showcase work using terrestrial lidar, UAV technology, and satellite remote sensing to address critical questions in landscape ecology and conservation.

Organized by the International Association for Landscape Ecology – North America (IALE-NA), this conference brings together researchers, practitioners, and conservationists dedicated to understanding dynamic interactions between nature and people across landscapes.
