Our Lab’s virtual field trip to Radium Springs, the largest spring of the lower Flint River.
We will explore its history, discover the underwater biota, and discuss the challenges of water scarcity that affect the spring.
A virtual wetland field trip to two geographically isolated wetlands at Ichauway, a grass-sedge marsh, and a cypress gum swamp. We will look at some of the flora and fauna of each, learn about geological settings, hydrology, and even observe a prescribed fire in the longleaf pine uplands.
Additional Reading: 1) Hydrologic Connectivity, 2) Upland Management, 3) Biodiversity, 4) Impacts on Hydrology
